Why Now is a Great Time to Buy a 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning

Ford recently announced it will increase production and reduce the price of the F-150 Lightning electric pickup, which means that it has now become even more appealing than before.

As you may know, the Ford F-150 Lightning has been very popular from day one due to its advanced technologies and its traditional F-Series attributes.

So popular in fact, that buying one could actually be quite difficult due to order lists and long waiting times.

This is what Ford aimed to remedy by proceeding with a major expansion of the Rouge Assembly complex where the F-150 Lightning is built.

Indeed, production has already restarted and the company is expecting a quick ramp-up that will make it possible to manufacture up to 150,000 trucks per year starting this fall.

This production target is triple what the factory was previously capable of making when working at full capacity.

Of course, this will make it much easier to get your hands on a new 2023 Ford F-150 Lightning in a timely manner, but it will also make for more affordable trucks.

Indeed, by leveraging economies of scale, the automaker has been able to offer reductions on the MSRP that reach up to $15,000 off on the entry-level Pro grade truck.

This makes for a new base price of $59,000 for this version which is destined mostly to be used as a work truck by companies who are ready to make the electric transition.

Other trim levels also see large amounts being removed from their price tags, with $10,000 off on the XLT Standard Range, XLT Extended Range, and Lariat Standard Range models, for new prices of $69,000, $85,000, and $80,000 respectively.

The Lariat Extended Range is now $9,000 cheaper, at $99,600, and the top-of-the-line Platinum Extended Range sees a rebate of $6,000 for a new price of $115,000.

As before, choosing any Ford F-150 Lightning pickup gives you access to the company’s BlueOval Charging Network, the largest public charging network in North America.

This perk will soon be even more impressive since Ford will expand its network by adding access to 12,000 Tesla Superchargers across the United States and Canada starting early next year.

Commercial buyers can also benefit from practical charging solutions via Ford Pro, which can setup charging devices anywhere they might be needed for the smooth operation of your business.
