What to know about the revised 2024 Ford F-150?

The ever-popular Ford F-150 has been updated for the 2024 model year, with a new standard engine, an innovative optional tailgate, a modernized design, and additional technologies. Here is a closer look at this new generation of the country’s best-selling pickup before it arrives early next year.

The Pro Access tailgate

The most important change made to the 2024 Ford F-150 is the availability of a totally new tailgate concept from Ford: The Pro Access tailgate. By combining a traditional tailgate with a swing door that can open to a full 100 degrees, this solution makes the F-150 even more flexible and practical for all sorts of uses. In addition to flipping up and down as usual, a section of the Pro Access tailgate can be opened as a door to allow easier access to the contents of the bed, especially when combined with the new bumper step. In the bed, Ford still offers the ProPower Onboard electric power stations, available in three power levels that range from 2 kW to 7.2 kW, enough to power a mobile welding shop for up to 32 hours.
